Motivation for award: The Knysna Pirate Ship is the only “Pirate” Ship in the Garden Route and the boat originated from the Seychelles Island and was attack by Pirates of the East Coast of Africa (in real life) – year 1969. The Captain and Crew decided to head for South-Africa and ended up in Durban. The ship was later sold to the Mayor of Knysna, she continued sailing and exploring the Meditereanean Seas before returning home against currents and trade winds. Rika and Kevin Fouche purchased her in 2019 and she sinced sail the “golden- mile” exploring the Knysna Estuary and majestic Headlands.

We offer a daily sailing cruise to the Knysna Heads onboard the UNIQUE & only Pirate Ship in the Garden Route, very popular family outing including small pets! (They are part of the family) The cruise includes a pirate pack for “kids” (young & old 😉) as well as a “Pirate Brew” for the adults. “Sing-along” cruise duration 1.5 hours. 4x scheduled trips per day from the Knysna Waterfront 365 days per year.
