Motivation for award: Sweetfontein was designed with keeping the natural environment in mind and the harsh weather conditions in the Karoo, from extreme heat to extreme cold. Taking the natural habitat and converting it into artwork is what truly makes it an artist’s playground. The Karoo is a vast, open part of South Africa and this really comes to our advantage.
