The sheepdog dozed next to my husband, the geese kept an eye on the farm, the music played softly in the background, and all was well with the world, in this amazing place, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Table decor, beyond, food delicious, bedroom comfortable and quiet and even a tiny but fabulous shop for retail therapy. loved it all!

The rooms are clean and have special touches to the interior. The entertainment area is nothing less than sumptuous and at the same time comfortable. Upon arrival in the early afternoon we sat outside on the verandah playing cards. The view from there is wide and feels like forever. The food that was served was absolutely wonderful and above the normal fare. Congratulations on this outstanding venue.

What a wonderful place to escape to. Had the most wonderful “minimoon” at Halfampieskraal. I would return tomorrow and recommend it to all my family and friends! I can confidently say that it was one of the best and most relaxing weekends away I have had in a very very long time. My wife and I are currently living in the UK and the other couple live in Switzerland (all of us South Africans). Staying over at Halfaampieskraal gave us a flavour (literally as the food was probably the best I have ever had) of everything we have been missing over the past few year living abroad.
