Awelani Lodge is the ideal place to stay when visiting northern Kruger. Just outside Pafuri Gate, Awelani is on a conservancy that is remarkable for the huge range of trees – over 30 species within 2kms of the Lodge – and its massive baobabs. The property has extensive tracks for hiking, walking and mountain biking, as well rocky outcrops for exploring the beautiful environment.
Awelani has both self-catering and restaurant-catered accommodation. The self-catering units include private family-style bungalows, as well as rooms with communal facilities. There are also en-suite safari tents. The Lodge facilities include a swimming pool, free wifi, and a licensed restaurant. There’s a conference room and separate meeting room for day hire. A recent development is a wild bush camp for totally self-sufficient campers. Wild and wonderful Pafuri at its best.
Awelani means ”place of rest” and this is the atmosphere of the property.
