Motivation for award: AfriCamps is all about boutique glamping at the most beautiful working farms, estates, and reserves in South Africa. With camps located along the country’s most popular tourist routes, our custom-designed boutique glamping tents allow guests to experience the closeness to nature that comes with a camping trip and the convenience of a fully equipped self-catering unit. Our tents are fully furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay – from the fully equipped kitchens to the spacious showers. Guests can experience the freedom and beauty of the great outdoors, without compromising on the comforts they love. Our tents and properties are suitable for close friends, couples, and families.

AfriCamps at Ingwe, Plettenberg Bay

Glamping over forested valleys

AfriCamps at Ingwe is located bang in the middle of the popular Garden Route in the Crags, Plettenberg Bay – the perfect spot for a glamping adventure. Our camp is surrounded by outstanding natural beauty with mind-blowing beaches and ancient forests in every direction. With Knysna and Tsitsikamma National Park both within a 30 minutes drive, AfriCamps at Ingwe is an outdoor adventurer and nature lover’s paradise. Visit one of the many popular attractions in the area, or just relax on your fully equipped boutique glamping tent’s private deck and soak up the tranquil beauty and peaceful sounds of Ingwe’s forest.

Our custom-made tents are fully furnished and equipped with a private kitchen, lounge, en-suite bathroom (with private shower and toilet), two bedrooms sleeping up to five guests in two extra-length queen-size beds, and an extra single bunk bed, an indoor fireplace, air-conditioning, and a wooden deck. There is an outdoor wood-fired hot tub next to three of six tents that is the perfect place to listen to the birdsong, enjoy the views or relax under the stars at night.
