Rural Tourism Africa is the link between interested tourists and all the role players in Agritourism. It serves as an information hub highlighting tourism experiences on farms across Africa, allowing local and international tourists to incorporate visits to these farms as part of their travel plans. Rural Tourism Africa provides advice and guidance to its members, assists members with marketing and promotions, and represents Agritourism at governmental, tourism and organized agricultural institutions.

- Places and services are nominated. The public an nominate a tourism business they love or the businesses can nominate themselves.
- There is no charge to be nominated.
Stage 2 (Voting)
- Voting is opened up for everyone on the same date.
- Places are asked to get votes for themselves.
- The public are asked to choose places they like
- Each person who votes will receive a R1000 travel voucher.
- Voters may vote for more than 1 product but each person may only vote once per product.
- Follow the leaderboard to see who the top places are
Stage 3 (Award ceremony)
- The tourism products are awarded their well deserved trophies
- The winners are published on the site as well as in the media
- The grand prize is announced to one lucky voter who has shown the most effort of sharing with their friends and family
